    I am passionate about many aspects of Irritability, Aggression, and Anger across a wide range of populations and domains. During my time at ARG, I would like to explore crisis management; autistic experiences with irritability, anger, and aggression; ADHD and emotion dysregulation; justice sensitivity and its role in anger for autistic individuals; and effective anger reduction strategies for neurodivergent people.\u00a0

      I am drawn to ARG to explore how anger, irritability, and aggression develop in children and adolescents from military families affected by trauma. I focus on how these patterns persist into adulthood and shape emotional and behavioral regulation, often affecting relationships, coping strategies, and overall functioning. I aim to work directly with individuals and families, applying this research to promote resilience, healthier relationships, and lasting well-being. By understanding these emotional patterns, I hope to inform interventions that support both immediate and long-term growth for trauma-exposed populations.<\/div>

        I am interested in clinical manifestations of anger, aggression, and irritability in trauma-exposed and marginalized populations. My research in ARG focuses on how anger-related experiences are perceived, assessed, and treated across clinical settings, including factors that influence professionals\u2019 attitudes toward working with anger and aggression. My work aims to better understand the interpersonal and systemic dynamics that shape mental healthcare for individuals presenting with anger-related difficulties.

                      I am interested in anger and irritability within patients undergoing physical therapy rehabilitation, as well as other physical health treatment modalities. Understanding how these emotions contribute to an often frustrating recovery process could have major implications for the psychological care of this patient population and our societal understanding of the physical healing process.<\/div>

For many, however, anger is largely a maladaptive response that does not help them get any closer to their goals. I would like to have a deeper understanding of the spectrum of adaptive to maladaptive anger, aggression, and irritability. <\/div>

                                  I am interested in how shame and anger manifests in individuals marginalized by their communities. My main populations of interest are adults who were in the foster care system and women raised in institutional religion who have since left. I am intrigued by the role marginalization plays into anger and shame manifestation, as well as the relationship between shame and anger.<\/div>

                                    I am interested in the manifestations of anger and irritability in parents and caregivers as a response to their children’s behaviors. My aim is to understand the complex associated emotions that go hand in hand with these anger\/irritability responses as well as to normalize these experiences. I am also interested in the precipitating factors that lead to and heighten parent and caregivers anger and irritability in these situations so as to support parents and caregivers in intercepting and redirecting these responses to improve parent-child relations. <\/div>

I am further interested in the connection between anger and internalized Christianity in women’s behaviors. I plan to work in health psychology so these concepts of irritability, anger, and aggression are critical in understanding cultural impacts of diagnosis.

                                          I am interested in how anger manifests regarding LGBTQIA+ issues. I’m curious to explore perceived causes of anger and hostility towards transgender individuals by their non-affirming families. Hopefully, by understanding the perceived causes of anger we can improve interventions to create a more affirming familial structure. Understanding the perceived cause of the hostility is the first step in addressing it and hopefully creating a positive change. <\/div>
